To mark Pink October, the Belle & Bien association, in collaboration with the Teach on Earth association, are launching a course entitled, ‘Taking my Screening in Hand’. Accessible to all on mobile devices and computers, this digital training module aims to increase understanding about screening for 5 types of cancer including breast cancer.
The earlier a diagnosis is made, the less aggressive the treatment and the better the chances of recovery. This is the case for breast cancer, the most common cancer among women, with almost 61,200 new cases diagnosed each year and 12,000 deaths.
The Belle & Bien association is striving to raise awareness and take action, so that screening becomes a reflex all year long, by providing the course, ‘Taking my Screening in Hand’ free of charge, in partnership with Teach on Earth.
Accessible on the Teach on Earth training platform, in 5 short educational modules users can find out all there is to know about screening for breast cancer, cervical cancer, skin cancer, colorectal cancer and prostate cancer in just 15-20 minutes:
The importance of screening, Types of screening (how to correctly self-examine with Montpellier Teaching Hospital), When to screen? Healthy lifestyle (with diet and sport recommendations.)
The digital course is supported by supplied documentary resources, as well as customised tests and questionnaires. It takes stock of each person’s situation and offers personalised advice. The programme encourages everyone to take action for their health and to look after themselves.
If you wish to sensitise your employees about cancer screening as part of your CSR approach, you will find the course links below. If you would like to integrate the course directly into your training system, please contact your CSM or your KAM. This training course is currently only available in French.
